THE INVITATION PROCESS
Cherish Creations specializes in custom wedding invitation suites. What does this mean exactly? It means we love paper, particularly wedding paper. From save the dates to one-of-a-kind monograms, we help you create a suite that embodies not only your wedding but the love you have for one another. We don’t believe that one design fits every client, so when we say “custom” we really mean it. Our designs are tailored to you – because your invitations should be as unique as your wedding day. Feeling overwhelmed and not sure where you need to start? Don’t worry – we’re here to help you every step of the way, so say hello and we’ll get started!
Since we believe in personalized invitations, the first step is to get to know the two of you! Our process begins with a conversation which can be done in person, over the phone or with Skype/FaceTime. Don’t live in Texas? Not a problem! We work with clients from all over the country. In our initial conversation we’ll discuss you, your wedding and any specific inspiration you have for your invitations. Feel free to bring pictures, swatches or anything that inspires you!
After our initial meeting, we send a written estimate. This estimate is based on what we discussed during our initial conversation: paper stock, printing method, and any specific design elements for your event. Your estimate is specifically tailored to your needs and we strive to make this process as easy as possible. Once you receive your estimate, please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions. Your project is placed on our production calendar upon approval of the estimate and payment of a $250 deposit.
Now that we have taken care of the particulars of booking your project on our calendar, we get into the fun part – the design proof! The initial design process takes two weeks after which you’ll receive your invitation proofs via a digital PDF presentation. You have two complimentary rounds of revisions included in your design fee. Any revisions that are made beyond the complimentary two will incur an additional fee. You’ll want to make sure that you look your proofs over carefully — this allows us to streamline the design process and, in the end, save you money!
You have a final design completed and approved, so the next step is printing! The print method chosen during the design proof phase determines the lead time needed for printing. Generally, flat printing has a 2 week lead time, while letterpress and foil printing has a 3-4 week lead time. For this reason, we recommend leaving plenty of time for both design and printing. If you are working with us for your calligraphy needs, we’ll take care of passing along your envelopes to our calligrapher for addressing!
Your deposit is applied to the final balance on your invoice, and all invoices must be paid in full prior to the handoff of your final project. If you will be in the Dallas area, we are more than happy to handoff your items in person! Otherwise, all projects are shipped via UPS, USPS or FedEx to the address provided by you. Please let us know if the final destination is a P.O. Box and we’ll ship your items via USPS with tracking capability.
Thank you for considering Cherish Creations for your invitation needs and we look forward to working with you!
